1. Acceptance of Terms

By browsing, accessing, or making a purchase on sjsoaps.com, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service, as well as our Privacy Policy and Refund & Returns Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

2. Products

S & J Soaps sells handcrafted melt-and-pour soap bars made in small batches. Our products are cosmetics as defined by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. They are not drugs and are intended for external use only.

Because each bar is handcrafted in small batches, minor variations in color, scent intensity, and appearance are normal and expected. These variations are a hallmark of artisanal craftsmanship and do not constitute a defect.

3. Orders & Payment

  • All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD)
  • Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number
  • An order confirmation email will be sent to the address provided at checkout
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order that appears fraudulent, abusive, or if we cannot verify payment
  • Placing an order does not guarantee fulfillment until payment is confirmed

4. Age Requirement

By placing an order, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. Purchases by minors are not authorized without parental consent and supervision.

5. Shipping

  • We currently ship within the United States only
  • Standard shipping is a flat rate of $5.99. Orders of $35 or more qualify for free standard shipping
  • Estimated delivery is 5–10 business days from the date of shipment. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed
  • S & J Soaps is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, or other circumstances outside our control

  • For hygiene reasons, used soap bars cannot be returned or exchanged
  • Damaged or incorrect items: contact contact@sjsoaps.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo
  • Refunds, if approved, will be issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days

All content on this website — including text, product descriptions, photography, graphics, logos, and the names “S & J Soaps” and “Sapphire’s Soap Co.” — is the property of The Heady Counsel LLC (DBA S & J Soaps) and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. 8. FDA Disclaimer & Product Safety

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

9. Children

Parental supervision is recommended when young children (under age 3) use our products. Products suitable for children will be clearly noted on the product page based on essential oil safety guidelines. This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, S & J Soaps (The Heady Counsel LLC) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use our products or website. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Jersey.
